Appeal for witnesses following a burglary in Bracknell

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a suspected attempted burglary of a house on Ringwood, Bracknell.
At 12.20pm on Wednesday 19 May the occupants of the house were in their home when they were disturbed by someone who had entered their front porch and was attempting to open the front door.
A member of the family went to the door and confronted a man who claimed he was trying to buy a car. Even though there was no car there and the family had not advertised any for sale. The male walked away.
The male is described as White, aged in his 40’s, large build about 5’10”, bald and spoke with a strong Irish accent.  
Investigator  PC 5126 Philip Davies of the Priority Crime Investigation team based at Loddon Valley police station said “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seeing or hearing anything suspicious in the area at the relevant time, or may have security CCTV recordings or other information to report their information On Line via the Thames Valley Police website, or call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43210216218.
If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact the independent charity “Crimestoppers” anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are asked for, and your call is not traced or recorded, and you wouldn’t be expected to attend court.
