Appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery of teenage girl

Officers are appealing for witnesses after the victim, a 13 year-old girl, was approached by a group of girls at the bus stop in High Street, Chalvey, at around 3.20pm on Thursday (21/1).

One of the girls was verbally abusive towards the victim, lunged at her and attempted to grab her mobile phone. The victim was able to loosen the grip of the offender however another member of the group then spat at the victim, which hit her in her face.

The girl who attempted to snatch the phone is described as being white, with a tanned complexion, aged approximately 10 to 11 years old, approximately 5ft, with dark brown hair tied in a pony tail. She was wearing a long sleeved blue top which had stars on, dark blue jeans and light pink shoes.

The girl who spat at the victim is described as white, aged approximately 12 years old, 5ft 2ins, with long messy hair. She was wearing a long grey coat which was zipped up.

Two other girls with the offenders were wearing green hooded jackets with the hoods up.
