THEFTS FORM VEHICLES CARTERTON

Alert message sent 25/11/2020 11:07:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Over night between the 24/11/2020- 25/11/2020 we have had seven vans broken into and tools stolen , the offences have occurred on Shilton Park and the new development near to Stanmore Crescent.
There has been CCTV recorded which has shown two males breaking into and checking parked vans.
It appears that the offenders have tried to look into vans before breaking into them.
Security advice is to alarm your van , park on the driveway if possible, use CCTV and lighting to deter offenders and post code tools and equipment.
I would also advise that expensive items to be removed from vans, although this is not ideal , maybe put the expensive tools you cannot work without into a couple of boxes which can be removed at the end of the day into your house .
We will be carrying out extra patrols at specific times in Carterton, if you have any information or any CCTV that has recorded last nights crimes, or information on the offenders please get in touch calling 101
