Man charged with drug and counterfeit money offences in Oxford

A man from Oxford has been charged with a drug offence and possession of counterfeit money.

James Howkins, aged 35, of Great Clarendon Street in Oxford, was charged on Monday (18/5) with one count of possession with intent to supply a drug of class A and one count of possession of counterfeit currency.

The charges relate to an incident in Walton Street on Sunday (17/5) when a man was arrested following a stop and search.

Howkins appeared before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday (18/5) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday 19 June.
