Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

New Website Launch
We hope you and your family and friends are keeping well and safe in this trying time.

As you will be aware we recently revamped our website It’s now easier for hundreds of Neighbourhood Watch schemes across England and Wales to access information on crime prevention and ways of connecting with your community.

The new website provides toolkits on domestic abuse and scams that have increased in prevalence during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as information on preventing and reporting burglary, child sexual exploitation, serious violence and terrorism. There are guides to tackling loneliness and vulnerability, and advice on CCTV usage, disability crime, vehicle crime and hate crime. Local schemes can submit success stories to appear on the news section of the website.

A new ‘Inspiration’ section demonstrates the wide variety of work undertaken by Neighbourhood Watch volunteers, from running awareness campaigns, organising litter picks; establishing community cafés, responding to floods, and delivering presentations in schools. The new website allowed Neighbourhood Watch to proactively communicate their response and resources as the crisis have evolved, with a dedicated COVID-19 website hub area.

Our members have been testing the new website for several weeks and report that it has helped them focus on actions that make a difference locally by sharing learning and resources. We are now promoting our website to gain national and local attention. Please see the press release attached in to this email, as well as a social media promotion pack.

If you have active social media channels (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram), we encourage you to promote our website to members. We have attached a document with optional social media resources and suggested posts to support this activity.

Please note: At a national level we are looking for Social Media Ambassadors across England and Wales to extend our reach. If you would like to work closer with Neighbourhood Watch Network on a more regular basis to share key crime prevention and community building messages and campaigns through your channels please get in touch with us by emailing

Many thanks for your ongoing support.
