Re appeal following attempted murder in Oxford

Thames Valley Police is re-appealing for information following an attempted murder in Oxford.

At around 11.15pm on Thursday (26/3) a man was reported to have been shot in the leg in Cowley Road, Littlemore.
The victim, a man in his twenties, was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries to his abdomen and the back of his legs. Although these injuries are not life-threatening, they are going to be possibly life-changing.

Two warrants have been carried out today (30/3) in Outram Road and Harcourt Terrace, Oxford.
Following these, a man, aged 24, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm. He remains in custody at this time.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector James Mather of Oxford CID, said: “The investigation in to this attempted murder is still moving at a fast pace.
“We would specifically like to speak to anyone who saw three vehicles in the area at around 11pm.

“If you saw a silver Toyota Yaris, a dark coloured hatchback and a dark coloured 4x4, all travelling at speed from the Templars Square area of Oxford, along Cowley Road towards Littlemore, please get in touch.

“We would like to speak to anyone with information about this incident.
“If you saw the vehicles described or have any CCTV or dash-cam footage which could assist with the investigation you should get in touch.

“You can call the non-emergency number 101 or make a report online using the reference 43200098693.
