Alert message sent 17/03/2020 09:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Next Kidlington "Have Your Say" session - knife crime awareness.

Ahead of Knife Crime Awareness Week, this Friday's Have Your Say" police surgery at Kidlington Library (between 3.30pm and 4.30pm) will have a special focus upon the law in relation to knives - although we're here to answer your queries about any crime-related matters. Some of the questions we get asked most frequently:

- What is the law in relation to having a knife on your person in a public place?
- What are the penalties if found guilty at court of having a bladed article in public?
- How do I discuss with a child or young person the dangers involved in misusing knives?
- What is the best way to safely dispose of unwanted knives?
