Appeal for witnesses following attempted murder in Caversham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted murder in Caversham.

The incident happened yesterday (31/10) at about 4.30pm outside an address in Rhine Close. Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Dave Turton, of Reading Force CID, said: “I understand that this incident will have caused concern in the community, but I would like to reassure the public that we are carrying out a full investigation into this offence.

“The offender and the victim are known to each other and this was an isolated incident. We are carrying out enquiries in order to locate him.

“People in the area might see an increased police presence while our investigation takes place."
