The incident took between 11.20pm and 11.30pm in Baltic Wharf near the towpath on Monday (4/6).

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was approached by a group of four males and was assaulted.

He sustained bruising and cuts to his arms and leg and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

There is currently no description available of the four offenders.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Nicola Clark, of Oxford Force CID, said: “This assault resulted in a 16-year-old boy sustaining injuries which required hospital treatment.

“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information which they think could help our investigation.
