Update from Royal Mail: Services In Windsor 18 – 21 May 2018
As Windsor Castle is the chosen location for the forthcoming Royal wedding, an extensive security operation will be in place in and around the town in the run-up to, and on the big day. It will therefore not be possible for us to open our Queen Elizabeth Delivery Office in Windsor that serves customers in the SL4 postcode area on the wedding day, Saturday 19 May.
Royal Mail will make every effort to minimise disruption to our services over the weekend. To help us to do this, we strongly recommend customers post their mail before 18 May or after 21 May.
Mail deliveries and collections will be undertaken as normal on Friday 18 May. For security reasons, a number of postboxes in the town will be sealed after the last collection has been made.
There will be no delivery services or mail collections to customers in Windsor on Saturday 19 May. The customer service point at the delivery office will be open as usual for the collection of mail for which we have left a “Something for You” card.
On Sunday 20 May, the customer service point at the delivery office will be open as usual from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. Sealed postboxes will be reopened.
