9/2 Friday 12.30 p.m. Imperial Place, Shoppenhangers Road. The owner returned and found two men in his apartment. Once disturbed, they immediately made off. The property is secure with coded gates and communal fob access. Does anyone remember letting anyone into the property at around that time ? Did they tailgate someone through the gates ? The thieves specifically targeted wardrobes where the owner had valuable watches. Two stolen:
- STERLING MOSS LIMITED EDITION, rose gold in colour and on a brown leather strap. The watch has a distinctive face, as it has a white handwritten signature by STERLING MOSS. The back of the watch is glass with a window into the movement (which is also rose gold). This is one of only 5.
- - HUBLOT – BIG BANG, carbon fibre face on a black rubber strap. The watch has a distinctive glass back through which you can see the movement. The watch box is distinctive, it is a large cube black box around 10x10x10 inches. It has a glass panel which you can see the watch.
Valuable watches should never be stored with the boxes, guarantees and receipts. With those items, they can be sold anywhere. One of these watches without the box and paperwork, is virtually unsaleable !
9/2 - 12/2 Friday 4.40 p.m. / Monday 7 a.m. Site, Harvest hill Road. Padlock cut from the main entrance. Plant and machinery stolen from a storage container: Portable diesel Mixer, builders radio, petrol disc cutters X 3, Block cutter, Measuring laser and hand tools stolen.
11/2 Sunday 9.15 p.m. Stompits Road. The owner of a van was sitting inside when he heard the doors close. He got out to investigate two men making off in a small Renault type van. There was damage to the rear door handle.
