Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Crowthorne.
Between 10.30pm Saturday 6 January and 2.00pm on Sunday 7 January offenders gained entry to a house in Salamanca.
Once inside offenders made a messy search and stole items of jewellery.
Investigating officer PC 6499 Clare Hickman of the crime investigation hub based at Loddon Valley police station said, “ we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43180008642.
If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact the independent charity “Crimestoppers” anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, the calls are not traced and you won’t need to go to court.
To deter thieves from targeting your home, ensure you close and lock ground floor doors and windows when you go out. Close and lock any gates that provide access into your rear gardens, and create an impression that your home remains occupied by using simple timer sockets to turn lamps on as it gets dark.
