We need your help

Alert message sent 16/07/2017 16:45:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Hopefully you will have seen the previous message I just sent out regarding the seizing of 3 motorbikes/mopeds today.

We are trying our best to deal with these issues at the moment however it's very rare that circumstances allow us to actually catch them being ridden and finding them stored away is like looking for a needle in a haystack!

If you have seen any motorbikes or mopeds/scooters being kept at an address and you feel they might not be fully legitimate please let me know by replying to this message. We need to build up an intelligence picture around where these are being stored so we can deal with them in an alternative way and help find out what routes they are likely to take.

Things to look out for to help identify one which may not be legitimate could be that the bike has no numberplate on, the rider is obviously a young person however there is no L plate on the bike or they are not wearing proper riding gear and wearing clothes such as shorts and t-shirts whilst riding. Obviously people who ride wearing these sorts of clothing could be legitimate however we can establish that quickly.

If you can let me know any addresses we can go and check them out and also I guarentee your anonyminity.

Thanks very much for your help
