Alert message sent 16/05/2017 12:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Great news for the Faringdon area after the Winners for the Community Policing Awards 2017 were announced on the 15th May.

PC Robert Maris from the Faringdon Neighbourhood Policing Team won the award for the Oxfordshire and Overall Community Police Officer 2017.

Also, Andi Cunningham, the NAG 1 (Neighbourhood Action Group) Chair won the award for the Community Volunteer 2017.

Thank you to the Faringdon and district community for showing your appreciation for their hard work.

The awards, now in their sixteenth year, recognise the exceptional efforts of our policing teams, including, police officers, PCSOs, Special Constables and volunteers for the positive impact they have on the local community they serve. This year also introduced a new award, Community Volunteer of the Year, to showcase the work of voluntary roles within the community itself that are not directly linked to Policing but support the work of Thames Valley Police.

Earlier in the year, nominations opened which gave members of the public, police officers and staff, and partnership colleagues the chance to nominate those members of Thames Valley Police who go above and beyond in helping with their community.
