There are only two parts to the Survey. The first is an opportunity for you to rank what issues you feel are important for the local Neighbourhood Policing Team to tackle as priorities.
You will be able to rank issues including Burglary, Anti-Social Behaviour, Protecting Vulnerable People and more. This does not mean that we will be ignoring other issues but it does mean we will be focussing our energy in a particular direction to tackle those priorities that our residents are most concerned about.
The second part of the Survey is a simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ question: Would you be interested in being part of an independent Community Focus Group?
What we are looking to do here is to bring together a group of people to not only discuss and assess our local Policing Priorities but, perhaps more importantly, be pro-active as a member of your Community and to generate ideas where you yourselves can help tackle problems. We, as a Neighbourhood Policing Team, along with our partners, will attend, but the idea is that the Group would be chaired independently of the Police and members will be representative of the Community and all dedicated towards tackling local issues as a team.
So, if you haven’t already done so I would urge you to have your say on your local Policing Priorities by completing part 1 of the Survey. And for those that are excited about the prospect of being part of a group representing your Community and shaping it’s future I would encourage you to click ‘Yes’ to part 2.
I look forward to hearing from you.
